AgileSealer Semi Automated Plate Sealer


The AgileSealerTM Plate Sealer is a semi-automatic thermal sealer which is ideal for the low to medium throughput laboratory that requires uniform and consistent sealing of micro-plates. Unlike manual plate sealer, the AgileSealerTM produces repeatable plate seals. With variable temperature and time settings, sealing conditions are easily optimised to guarantee consistent result, eliminating sample loss. Offering complete versatility, the AgileSealerTM will accept a full range of plates for PCR, assay or storage applications, and can be used for standard height to deep well plates.

The unique ceramics platen prevents sticky sealing from over-heating.

In the event that cleaning is necessary, the side access door can be opened for easy cleaning.

OLED displays screen, high light and no visual angle limit.

Adjustable sealing temperature: 80°C to 200°C, rapidly reaching 170°C within 300 seconds.

Automatic counting function.

The motorized drawer features redundant safety switches - If a hand or object obstructs the closing drawer, the drawer motor will automatically reverse. This function prevents injury to a user as well as to the instrument.
Energy Saving
When the unit is left idle more than 60min, it will automatically switch to stand-by mode during which the temperature of the heating element is reduced to 60°C for energy saving. 
When the unit is left idle more than 120min, it will automatically switch to deep-sleep mode during which the display and heating function are off.

When need I use the heat plate sealer ?

A :

In QPCR/PCR reaction, sealing the 96/384 plated minimizes the evaporation. 
Storing samples or components in any type of SBS (deep-well) footprint plates Cell culture, for instance, culturing E. Coli.

Q : What are the benefits of using heat sealing?
A :
  1. 100% consistent, uniform sealing across the entire plate, eliminates effects of sample evaporation from PCR workflows and enables the consistency of reaction conditions. 
  2. Increasing the stability of low temperature storage from short term to long term. 
  3. Avoid the risk of exposure to the operation and storage of high biological hazardous samples
Q : Are the heat seals clean enough?
A : AgileSealer is compatible with a wide range of seals. Users can choose seals which are free from DNase, RNase, and Human genomic DNA.
Q : Is it easy to peel the seal after heat sealing ? Will the adhesive be left on the plate ?
A : Normally, the seals used for PCR/QPCR are easy to be peeled off and there won't be residual of the adhesive on the plate.
Q : When the sealed plates are used on automated sequencer or automated liquid handler, can the tip or needle pierces the seal easily ?
A : The tip or needle can easily pierce the seals.
Q : If samples of organic solvents need to be stored, can the seals resist those solvents?
A : Many seals in the market have very good solvent resistance, including to DMSO, like foil-based heat seals, aluminium heat seals, and DMSO resistant seal.
Q : Will the heat sealing affect the activity of cells?
A : For the purpose of bacterial culture, some seals which have better air ventilation and the bacterial and pollutants can't penetrate through can be selected.
